I thought TJ's Came with front hooks. You still have the hook on the rear?

For a body lift, there is always Hockey Pucks. I may even still have my radiator drop brackets from my lift somewhere in the Garage (where jeep parts go to get lost). I did not use them, raised the engine up instead. I may even still have my TJ Klingon Hooks in there somewhere. :rolleyes:

Best deal on a new CB I have found is at the QT Truck Stop at the end of Mid Rivers. Midland 1001z for about $30.00. I have one, nice small CB, perfect for a Jeep.

I'll look around. I may still have my old hooks. I have a stout Jackalope bumper (front and rear), but I still have hooks up front. I bought new hooks at Auto Zone, about $10.00 a piece, back in the trailer parts area. Most stores only have 1, but there are a lot of Auto Zones, and I think Advanced has them as well.

I have not done a Hockey Puck Lift, but if you Google it, there are a lot of results. I am not how much lift you get from a Hockey Puck. Most T-Case skids (belly up) require at least a 1 inch body lift to install. I used a Zone 1.25" lift on mine. Check my post under the TJ Technical area.

Antenna's can get tricky on a Jeep. There are just not too many places to put one. Here is one place to pick up ideas;

The Antenna can actually end up costing more than the radio...

Hockey pucks get you 1" of lift. I read a really good write-up on it, and if you are serious about it I can find it for you. Most write-ups i've seen just drill a hole in the puck, but this one had you insert a metal "ring" in the hole to make it last even longer.

that actually sounds like an alright idea because a one inch lift kit is not cheap for how little it does. yeah if you could find some info i would appreciate it. thanks

I was going to do the budget hockey puck lift myself last year, but I found a nice 2.5" body lift for a steal. Look on Ebay you can get them fairly cheap and it already comes with all the hardware and everything you need.

If you do go with the pucks insert a metal sleeve in there otherwise over time the rubber will wear away.
People have been "puck" lifting everything for years. Its pretty common.

I got a set of hooks. Took them off last night. You want them? Come and get them. Got a pile of jeep stuff in the corner too that maybe you can use.
